The last few weeks have been a struggle and my productivity has suffered. It seems as though I've done nothing but spin my wheels. So it felt good to finish this small piece last night. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Actually, I tried to paint as many of the leaves as possible in this piece with a single brush stroke and thought it turned out pretty well.

"Creekside" 8x6 acrylic

Hey Jim,
I love all your little stream-scapes. In addition to being wonderful little gems, they always hit home since they remind me of the stream that I do my five mile walk along several times a week. So peaceful, so inspiring, so refreshing. It surely can be seen that you love these landscapes.
The summer duldrums have hit many, including me, so it's 'going around'. I think the constant drone of bad news is doing it to a great extent for me. I've given up listening!
Anyway, you will no doubt have great inspiration spending time watching/listening/learning from Jim in Wausau!
